A Nostalgic Engagement Portrait Session In San Francisco

Romantic lighting, happy laughter and the perfect location made for a magical engagement portrait photoshoot.

When Shaena contacted me about doing her engagement photographs in iconic San Francisco bar, Rickhouse, I could not be more excited! As you all know, I am primarily an outdoor photographer, but I do love the challenge of photographing in dark interiors every once in a while. Rickhouse is a trendy, whisky filled bar packed with lots and lots of dark stained wood, candles and a roaring fire, and has a cosy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home the moment you step inside. Shaena & Chris also reconnected in Rickhouse a couple of years ago after losing touch with each other, so it was the perfect place to photograph such a romantic time in their lives. We managed to sneak down to the ferry building before the sun set to capture some fun moments outdoors too.
