A Flower-Filled Desert Wonderland Shoot
Because flower crowns & pretty portraits go together like peanut butter & jelly...
Ok, ok. I know. Flower crowns are everywhere. You're sick of them. I get it! But in a world that has been turned upside down lately (can 2016 throw anything more at us?!) I think it's helpful to have something that can transport us from regular life to fantasy. From boring desk jobs to magical places. From nightmares to dreams. I am so happy to share with you my recent escape-from-real-life shoot with the sweet Jessica Boynton.
We have actually been planning this shoot for MONTHS but never had the time to actually go out and shoot. Jessica and I got together a couple of months ago to make the flower crowns (yup, those are fake flowers!) and we were so lucky that the Ruth Bancroft Garden in Walnut Creek allowed us to shoot in their space (you just HAVE to visit this beautiful garden, it is seriously one of the most magical places I've ever visited).
And before I go, I just want to give a quick shout out to Kakaw Designs. Those lovely shoes and boots that Jessica is wearing? They are from this amazing designer. Their ethical products are all handmade In Guatemala and combine repurposed materials and new handwoven textiles. Go check out their stuff and their Kickstarter project!
(p.s this is not a sponsored post, I just love their work and want to share the love)
(p.p.s I'd LOVE to shoot some Senior Portrait Photographs here - head on over to the 'Contact' section of my website if you're interested and we can go grab some coffee and discuss ideas!)
